I bought a heater hose last September from GM when I replaced all the other hoses. For whatever reason it started to melt. So I got another one because it was still under warranty. I've had the hose for 2 days now and it is already starting to melt. All the other hoses are fine. It's the lower heater hose that goes to the throttle body. It isn't touching anything or have I sprayed any sort of cleaner on the engine that would do this. The engine isn't running any hotter then it normally does. Any ideas what is causing this? 90 L98. Thanks!

Could it be a bad batch of GM heater hoses? Have you tried another brand like Gates Rubber or Goodyear?
I thought about. But the problem is every place I called around here doesnt sell the heater hose. I have to get it from GM if I want all the bends in it. I thought it was a faulty hose, thats why I went back to get another.
