84 antenna bypass problems

84 antenna bypass problems
I just wired up the mid america antenna bypass switch, however its not working correctly. with the switch in the on position, antenna goes up and radio works fine. with the switch off, antenna stays down but no sound comes out of the speakers. I cut the pink wire coming out of the white body harness connector, pin C, like the intructions state. upon looking at the diagram in the helms, it looks like i cut the wire to the speaker relay as well as the antenna relay, so it seems the instructions are incorrect. does anyone know relative to looking under the dash, which wire only goes to the antenna relay?

I'm looking at a Helms manual and it shows 2 Pink wires at the back of the radio.
Connector C2 is a Pink wire by itself. This wire goes to the Bose Amp. Relay.
Connector C1 is a Pink wire and goes to the Antenna Relay. This is the one you want to cut.
It also appears connector C1 has a Black wire which goes to ground and a Gray wire for the light dimmer circuit.
The manual doesn't show the actual connectors but from your description of your problem it appears you cut both pink wires and only need to cut the pink wire on connector C1.
