my injectors read alomost like another post 16.4 ohms all the way to 2.9 ohms. Just making sure i am doing this right ... its just across the two poles correct?

Just across the two contacts. If you got one reading 2.9 ohms that is a bad one!
I agree, use the ohm meter leads (red and black) and touch either connector/contact. All should read around 16 ohm. If one or more read less (say 2.9 ohm) the coil in the injector is bad and will not function properly.

Your post does not indicate the year of your car. Also your personal profile is not completed. I suggest you complete the profile as this give info to people who are trying to help you.
Years 89 to 91 Vetts were produced with an injector (GM Multec) that has a very high failure rate. If your car falls into this group, be prepared for this problem. One more note, be careful not to run the car with shorted injectors as the can damage the ECM. If you need more info on the Multec injector problem, please advise.
