Default Edelbrock Tuning Help Needed

Just installed a used edelbrock 1407 (750 man choke) on my '84 naturally asperated 350. I know it's a carborated and c4 guy's are mostly all full inj. orientated. I have a post on the c3 forum as well.
Anyway heres what it's doing NOT WHEN THE MOTOR IS COLD ONLY AT OPERATING TEMP between 1500 and 2500 rpms it will bog (hard, fall on its nose), if I run the car hard and do not let the rpms come down that low it runs fine.
I have allready tried changing the orange step up springs to the plain ones that the owners manule sugests. it had the orig. ones in it comparing them to the orange ones in the new kit.
The man says if this doesnt cure the prob follow the man. an change jets. not as fimillar with the edelbrocks as I am the holley and I'm looking for an exp. edelbrock guys opinion.

Edelbrock has great info on their website, tuning tips, problem solving, ect and also the stock jetting listed for all their carbs, I would try there first. Almost sounds like an accellerator pump not working.
