IAC removal

93 LT1. What size deep socket is needed to remove the IAC for replacement. thanks.

32mm deepwell socket. I bought one at sears for about $3. Taking out the IAC was a piece of cake. Just have a a socket wrench that is able to accept the large socket connection. Good luck

none of the 4 sears retails stores in my area carry a 32mm, and none would special order it.

additionally, www.sears.com only shows a standard, there is no deepwell. and its $8.79 not to mention the shipping charges that are added.

so i have NO idea what you're talking about.

I got mine at Harbor Freight, make sure that you tell the part store that you have an early 93, in mid year GM changed to a bolt on IAC, instead of the screw in type.

I used a 10" Crescent. After one quick sharp rap with the heal of my hand, it was finger loose the rest of the way out.
