Default 96 Vette Key Fob Will Not Work Automatically

Hello Group. I Have A 96 Lt1 Vette. I Have Two Key Fob's The Buttons Will Function Correctly If I Push Them. The "automatic" Feature Will Not Though. Checked All Fuses There Good. Tried To Cycle The Locks Several Times Actually Still Wont Function. The Pke Light Comes On When I Turn The Ign On So I Assume Its Working Fine. Light Goes Out When I Start The Car Ect. Anyone Ever Have This Problem? I HAVE HELD THE DOOR LOCK BUTTON DOWN AND THE LOCKED CYCLES INDICATING IT IS WORKING. HAVE DONE THIS SEVERL TIMES BUT STILL THE AUTOMATIC PART WONT WORK

The automatic feature can be turned off, which sounds like yours is. Check the owner's manual, it details how to turn it on.

Hold down the lock button on your door till you hear it cycle the locks, usually takes 5 secs., then it should work when you walk up.
