I don't have time to reply right now in depth, but the performance is great. You're going to get a ton of posts saying how horrible the install it, but I personally do not think it is that bad. An '87 like mine requries a couple extra steps to install it properly.
I will second the comments about some will post the horrors. I ran mine for a while and never had the issues with vacuum leaks, tough installation etc. I will say that I did assembly mine off the car, and redid the center bolts to chamfered allen head bolts that thread from the plenum side. I also clearanced the runners where they would clear the fuel rail lines.
If you take the time to fix some of the problems that should have been addressed by the deigner, you will have years of trouble-free operation.

I have one coming soon. Was the installation straight up? Any mods to the fuel lines, ETC? Thanks for the feedback. My 87 is in really good shape. I'm the second owner and it's a yellow convertible.
Without researching some of the sticking points before your install, I can see people getting frustrated with it. However, I spent hours looking through the archives here before I started tackling the project and didn't come across any significant hang-ups.

That's too bad that you already have one on the way. I have one that is already painted "Competion Yellow" to match your car. It is also upgraded with the easy installation (countersunk allen head bolts for the center runner bolts, and the clearance runners on the fuel rails).
