Today I went looking for a replacement for my spare (doughnut) tire. Checked a couple of tire dealers and they refered me to the dealer. The dealer doesn't do tires.... So now what? any ideas?
I went through this. Jeff Kopp (18carfan) said GM isn't the source - go to Goodyear dealer (since Goodyear made the original spares, and they tend to be car-specific). So I went to the local Goodyear dealer. They had to order it, but it took only a week to get it. This was a couple years ago, but I believe it was about $100 (tire & rim).
If everyone in here looked at their spares closely, I bet more than half of them would find rotted tires that couldn't hold air.
