C4 Rear Hatch
I am busy with the restoration of a 88 C4, and have a couple of questions relating to the rear hatch;
1. How does one open the rear hatch if the electric buttons do not work?
2. How does one remove the rear hatch retractable cover to replace it with a new one?

There is a short wire cable in the area at the center of the sunshade, just pull it to open the hatch. The shade is spring loaded. I stick a screwdriver in at the driver side end and pry against it to remove.

You certianly did a lovely job of your restoration. My 88 is the exact same colour.
