Default code problem

I just finished flushing my anti freeze & putting in a electric WP. Myoproblem is on my IP where the speedo & the digital read out is I get the letters 'SYS' flashing for a few seconds, then the coolant temp will come back & so on. It does this no matter what it is set on.
I have driven the car until the temp is over 200 for the fans to come on, at least 4 times.
Anyone else had this problem? I get nothing in the drivers center lighting up. I also had headers installed 3 weeks ago & my SES light was coming on, now it doesn't.

Try to pull the codes. If I'm not mistaken on the 93 you can insert a paperclip shaped like a U into pins 4 and 12 of the ALDL under the drivers side dash and turn the ignition on, to get the codes from the PCM and they will be displayed next to the speedo. It will flash a few different things. Write them down in the order given and post on here. I don't have a 93 FSM but I'm sure someone does, to look up the codes.

I am wondering if the temp sensor on the waterpump was hurt.

read this:

C4 Guru - Reading CCM Codes 1992/1993.

There is a typo in it, but the original needs to be fixed, and I am in the process of reformatting it... oopsie.

I had my friend plug in his scanner, & we didn't find anything really wrong except it said the intake temp was 145 deg. I think the problem might be in a relay that was buzzing that I pulled out from under the passenger side. Once I replace it tomorrow I'll know.

Update: had a blown fuse which was causing the relay to buzz intermintently, replaced it & relay which got rid of the sys on the speedo. I still have they ses light coming on going to try & pull codes again after I put in my brake bias spring & bleed the system

Close, but small correction. Pins 4 & 12 works on the 94 and up for the 16 pin ALDL connector. Pins A & B are for the 93 and down 12 pin ALDC connector.

Default antifreeze

try bleeding your cooling system. the engine has bubbles in it when you change the coolant.
When you replace the coolant that you just bled out, start with a cold engine, take off the radiator cap, and fill the radiator, then start it up, watch the filler neck.
when the thermostat opens, add the fluid, then rev it up to like 1500 RPM, and watch the coolant go low, refill the antifreeze and replace the cap before you let the throttle go back to idle.
This will at least get rid of most of the air in the system so the level will be high enough to work out the rest of the air on it's own

Thanks, I have come to realize this since my original post. Sorry, that is what works on my 95 with the 16 pin ALDL. Thanks for the correction.
