Default Hood Latch

1996, the hood is closed tight and adjusted with the proper lines and no play when you close it. It's tight and doesn't move. After driving about 5 or 6 miles the passengers side consistantly becomes unlatched and hood raises and becomes unlatched. I.m stumped and have tried every hood adjustment possible with the same results. Even put in new hood cable and that didn't help, still comes loose. I got to be missing something.Any ideas? thanx....G

wow... that's wack.

are you sure the little nubbin that does the latching isn't worn? It could also be the nubbin isn't quite in enough, jammed in there, but not clicked.

nubbin is also new and from what I can tell its clicked in as I can hear in latch when I close it and no movement when trying to pull it up. I mean it's seems really tight although can can't be trur cause it keeps popping loose? Thanx....G
