LT4 suggestions for a Newbie
I've had my black/black LT4 for just over a week and I can't seem to get the stupid smile off my face. But like any red-blooded hot rodder I'm already thinking about some mild mods. I don't think I'll go too crazy, but bolt-ons are perfectly acceptable.
What would be some good initial mods? Exhaust? (I'd like to keep the LT1/4 tips). What about headers? Chips? Blah Blah Blah.....
What are the available rear gear ratio numbers for the RP LT4? If more than one, where can I find em?

Nice ride......start with having a local shop cut off the mufflers and put pipes in their place (cheaper than muffler elimination kit), lots of people like the Corsa cat back system. Then let it breath better by a ram air set up, their are several. Slp triple intake, Breathless performance, and more, mostly peoples opinions of which are better, I haven't changed the air box yet but plan to soon. Also, lower the rear at least, I lowered the rear of mine about one inch and it looks a lot better, I will lower the front soon about half inch the I'll be able to get the rear even lower. :cheers:

Rear gear is 3.45 unless someone has changed it. All of the LT1 mods apply to an LT4, so cold air, throttle body bypass, etc will all work.
By the way...4.10 gears work pretty good in a stock LT4.
