I noticed on my Tunercat program that there is a function , Idle RPM adder with AC on. I have a 396LT1 with a 230/236 cam, and am wondering will this increase the engine rpm when I turn the AC on? Or what. My Vette will not idle in gear with the AC on, and I am wondering if I increase this Adder up a couple hundred rpm if it will raise the rpm so my Vette will idle in gear with the AC on? Thanks.

Sure sounds like it would work. Give it a try and see what happens.
I use the "IAC offset for A/C anticipate vs A/C pressure" table on my 94. But, don't think it is available for the 93's.
I think I read that 93's dont have that luxury. My tuner is very competent, but I had to ask as it was there, the Idler RPM adder.
I dont think it will do much, but, lie you said, try it, see what happens.

Try adding 75 rpm to the idle RPM adder for AC. Stock 92-93's come with this zeroed out when it should really have some adder.
That constant wasn't in tunercat until around a year ago. It really helps smooth out cammed cars that still like AC

Thanks Alvin, I will give it a shot. Man, I thought the fan temps would be my first thing, and I jump right into the AC with a big cam in gear. Hear it goes.

That's good to know! I have been dealing with it for awhile now. My car will idle with the AC on, but not if you start the car with it on. It has to run for about 30 sec before you turn the AC on. Even then, it pulls the engine down. I'll go look for an updated version. Thanx.
