All I have working is the passanger one. When I hooked the drivers side to the pass wire I got a weak blat and then nothing. How do you check them? Can you check them off the car? Where is the adjustment? Thanks, Frank
My right side horn was silent so I removed it, grounded one terminal and then tapped a jumper from the other terminal to the battery + post...nothing. So time to order a replacement.
Really. I was concerned that not only did you have to pass 12 volts through the horn but that it also had to be grounded. I think I'll switch sides and see what happens...Tks, Frank

Yep, I'd heard Jim say this while I was speaking to Him last night.
Mine seems to be working on the left side(When it feels like it) of the car and on the steering wheel. I'll be watching this post carefully for pointers. :chevy
So I call my local Chevy Dlr who says he has one in stock. When I get there it's a fit all with strange brackets and I ask what gives. He says "that's all we got since Delphi was sold to a Co in France. Now I'm not a numbers on guy but this thing, well you know. With this I call the local Corvette repair, rebuild guy who just happens to have the pass side 91 A note horn and wants $64. I tell him I'll give it some thought and hang up. I next call my favorite Chevy parts guy and ask what gives with these French horns to which he reply's, "yep, that's all we get". I call Contemporary Corvette in Bristol, PA and they have the correct horn, off a wreck, for $25+5or6 for shipping. Cheapest yet and correct. So that's it. Wait 3/4 days and install. By the way the left low tone wouldn't toot with the right horn not connected. Hummm....Thanks, Frank
Check out the Mid America catalog. They got replacement A/C Delco "A" note horn kits for $26.99 each. I got my car with 2 shot horns and the passenger side is dead again. I will troubleshoot this myself this time, had the dealer fix them before, and i'll post anything that I find out about it. I am going to order my new horn this week from them. Page 159 from there new catalog if you got it. Hope this helps you all out.
