Hi, Has anybody tried Edlebrock IAS shocks. I have an 84 with oem and I'm ready for a change. Any other recomendations.
Have (87) IAS on all 4 wheels. Just ordered QA1's for the front. Current front shocks have less than 500 miles on them, brand new, if your interested email me, maybe we can deal
Are the original AC Delco shocks any good? I currently have the KYB's and I hate them. I had them on my old truck and they werent good for it either. I dont have a ton of money to blow on Bilsteins or the IAS, so i'm looking for a good replacement, not an upgrade.
I've got QA1's as well and love them. They're 12 way adjustable so it is an easy change for me to go from autoX set up, to track day, to drag race and then street.

AC Delco shocks weren't OEM on C4's, those Bilsteins were.
For a really good shock that is REALLY reasonable, Mad sells the TPIS revalved shocks, but they don't put the TPIS name in the description anymore. It is just a black shock that says something about "revalved" in the description. They are something like $140 for a set of four. I had them on an '85 Z51 car and really liked them.

I have.
They are a beautiful-looking unit, and ride smooth on smooth roads, but that's about it....
They are definitely NOT a high performance shock; they cannot control wheel/suspension movement when the going gets dicey.
I'd recommend the Bilsteins as a budget unit (less than the IAS units), and Koni or QA-1's for shocks that are infinitely better than the IAS shocks at about the same price as the IAS.
