This is off my boss's 88 vette. It's located in the roof bar and I think it's either a cockpit/outside air temperature sensor, or a automatic volume control sensor for the BOSE. Can anyone give any insight? Thanks.
My 89 Vette with electronic AC has two of these temp sensors (thermistor).
One inside the car, kind of near the drivers head, for inside temp.
The other is under the car, before the radiator, for outside temp.
The AC controller has a switch for viewing the inside or outside temps. ;)
Thank you sir, I knew it was one or the other. I told him to put an ice cube near it once everything is back together and see if his information cluster shows a temperature change.
