Hard Lesson/Reminder for Flashing...
While trying to program my PCM ('95), I lost the connection right at the point that the memory was erased...
I now have a '95 Corvette LT1 PCM paperweight:o Sort of wish they had hard-coded the communication instructions into the thing...
Oh well. A $150 reminder to make sure when flashing (i've flashed it dozens of times with no problems) that...
-The flashing computer is not about to die (laptop plugged in)...
-The cable is in good shape...
-You are plugged in TIGHT to the ALDL, Serial Port and everywhere else...
-No one or nothing else is gonna mess with the connection while its flashing the PCM (dogs, children, goats, asteroids, etc.)
Better believe i'm gonna be more careful in the future....
Thanks TJWong for helping me out...
