Deleted the AIR system (left the actual pump on as dummy pulley) and hooked everything back up and started it up and it was running rich.
Well I assume it was since it never smoked before and there was faint black smoke coming out and it would bog down when I hit the gas. So I cut it off and cleaned up the shop, and went back to pull it in an figure it out later. I cranked it and it ran great, took it around the block and ran great.
Does the MAF have to reset itself to the AIR not being there? I guess if everything is running well no harm no foul. Just wanted to know to better my C4 knowledge
Theres a fuel adder when the AIR pump is commanded on but its very small and shouldn't cause any issue especially at wide open.
I assume the only way to end that command is reprog the ECM? It was strange that it was bogging down on the 1st restart and then I let it sit for 30min and restarted it and it ran fine, thx for the tip
