I believe the L98 is close to the lt1 and the lt1 has a stock volume of 170cc on the intake ports. if I were going with heads and you plan on modding.. and mainly racing.. go for the biggest heads AFR makes think they are the 227cc heads... they will give you the longest power band and best track results fitted with the appropriate camshaft!

AFR 220/227 require special valvetrain (i.e. read as shaft rockers), while the 227RRs require a special intake. In addition, the 210/220/227/227RR will not work with "typical" intakes. The typical intakes (SR w/BM, MRII, converted LT1, etc) do not have enough "meat" to be able to match up with the FP1206 intake. I have made them work, but not ideal.
