Putting on SA 1.6RR on motor; all stock w/exception of rockers.....the pushrods are touching the guideplates on the #1/#2 exhaust valves(contact is on the side of the pushrod).....as i understand it these are not true guideplates.....but I need advice as to what I should do..they are barely touching but appears there is some contact
I think i may have answered my own question, as I understand it(from doing some Google research), push rods touching the guideplates(on the sides) is normal even with SA rockers...Correct?
I tried to adjust the guideplate, however the guidepaltes are grooved by the stud, so when the studs are torqued, the guideplate moves back as the stud falls in the grove....i assume I need to buy new....should i also replace pushrods?
