Anytime I get on the gas hard there's a pretty strong antifreeze smell for the next mintue or so. As long as I don't get on the gas there's not a smell at all.
What could be causing this?
FYI - I had to get a new radiator a few months ago because of a small leak, but it's not leaking anymore.

Where are you when you smell it? Where is the smell coming from; under the car, under the hood, inside the car? With the heater core, at least, the first hint of a problem, is the sweet smell of failure. The fogging windshield and wet floor are yet to come.
While you are waiting for your FSM to arrive, lay in a supply of small bandages and mercurochrome. The heater core was the first part to go down the assembly line. Then, the car was built around it. Seriously, the heater core IS a project to change. You will need a good 1/4" drive socket set with a universal joint. Some have found that it is easier to remove the left seat and work from below. That is the "fast guy" method. I basically followed the manual and removed the dash pad, and worked from above. Having the seat out of the way could have helped me, too. There is always the Jeb Bartlett method: sawzall. You have to work in cramped quarters and there are bolts (screws) that have to be removed, that you can't see, but you can feel, get a finger, on most of them. Have fun.
Jet Jock has a great pdf of the removal and installation of the heatercore. Its under the dash on the passengers side. Its not hard to do but time consuming. Good luck!
