Anyone know how to get in touch with Mack? He's the former owner of Fast Track Performance.
I have a FAST ecu (gray one) with a Fast Track Performance harness and my ECM fuse keeps blowing in the fuse panel. The first time it blew was after starting the car three seperate times. Now, if I replace the fuse, it blows immediately after turning the key to the on position. I'm no electrical guy so I'm almost completely lost in how to handle this. I've checked already that everything was wired correctly, but I'm planning to check again. I'm just hoping that the blown fuse kept my FAST unit safe.
I don't want to invade Mack's privacy, so if anyone can get in touch with him and ask if he'd be willing to give me a call I'd really appreciate it.
Does the FAST unit itself need to be mounted to metal in order to provide a ground? I was pretty certain that all grounds were through the harness.
Is this installed in the '93 listed in your profile ? It's the ecm fuse in the factory fuse panel that keeps blowing ? Should be a 5 amp fuse ? That factory circuit feeds a bunch of other things than the ecm. Have you tried a 10 amp fuse.
The FAST ecm grounds through the harness. No need to ground the chassis.

Right. I've determined I don't have a short to ground in the wiring outside of the stock and FAST ECU, but I'm no electrical engineer so there's the tiniest of chances I might have overlooked something. I ran out of fuses and haven't had time to pick any up to test with the FAST ECU pulled.
I have found an email address for Mac, but haven't contacted him yet.
