I am having a problem keeping part of boot(don't know if that is correct word) to stay attached just behind each window when the top is up. I installed new velcro but the heat inside the car just made them fall off. Does anyone with a c4 vert have any ideas as to how I can make it stay in place when the top is up? Open to all suggestions

Mine comes unvelcroed from time to time with extremely high speed/wind. I think my velcro may need replacing. Also probably due to the top of the velcro bending over from the sticky wearing out. I thought about super glueing, but I'm not sure if thats a good idea??? While we are on the subject, does anyone know were to buy the factory velcro besides the dealer? How much? What about some super-strength velcro that lasts and can be cut to shape?
Thanks

I put new 3M velcro (just the frame side, hooks) on mine about 5 months ago and they are still stuck on really well. I trimmed them to fit at the bottom and folded them over at the top. I also made sure that the surface they were sticking to was really clean as there was lots of dried up adhesive on the metal. Don't cheap out and do a patchwork job. Get the good stuff long enough to go the full length. You might have to break down and go into a fabric store or have the wife/gf get it for you.
There was a forum member who was selling kit for this. Anyone know who that was?
I need one myself. I tried the velcro strips and they don't stick hard enough on the top frame. I cleaned the heck out of it with alcohol and it still won't stay glued on tight on one side. The velcro I used just does not stick hard enough agains the factory velco on the top flaps.
It may not be the "correct" method, but it never gives problems.
Hold the flap in place, drill a 1/8 hole near the base of it into the frame and fit a flat-head black self-tapper....problem fixed for good...
True..the technicaly correct and purist method is to renew the velcro's.
