I am a proud but disappointed owner of a 1993 40th Anniversary. After driving the car for app. 40 minutes i parked in my drive way and i heard boiling. i checked fluid seemed good little brown tho. SO it sat for a lttle while and i took it out agin. it ran hot didnt boil but started hesitating. i parked it an it sat for 2 hours. when i first ran it it didnt hesitate. when it ran hot it hesitated. it seemed to be running around 240.
im figuring on flushing and changing antifreeze. but im more worried about the hesitation. does the compter cause the car to hesitate if it runs hot? car runs good at idle no misses.
I would first put a scanner on and see if there are any codes, codes related to the distributor(opti) If everything looks good, put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and drive it around taped to the windshield. Should hold at 40 psi. I had a hesitation problem which turned out to be many things including O2 sensors, bad grounds, bad intake air temp and to top it all, a bad ECM. Good luck
