I'd like to get you folks opinion on the best way to adjust the gap between the front fasia (bumper cover?) and the hood. My car has about a 1/2 inch gap on the driver side that tapers to about 1/8 on the passenger side. The gaps between the hood and the two doors looks about right and symetrical from side to side. Is there a way to adjust the front peice?
I've only had the car since the end of May and it shows no signs of being in an accident.
I believe to adjust the front bumper if the hood is correct with the doors, there are spacers that go in between the bumper mounting bolts and the chasis. Think you will either need to install some more on the side that is close to the hood, or if hood is not catching on the closest side, then remove some from side that has biggest gap
Whatever you do, if the doors line up now, dont mess with the hood.
Just like any other body panel on any car, you can try adding shims to make each side line up. But, it is urethane and its likely warped a bit over the years, so there is no guarantee.
