It will all depend on what you plan to do with the car. If you plan to do much street driving, I'd rethink the TH350. The 700R/4L60/4L60E can be built plenty stout and you'll still have OD for mileage. I have a 3000 stall Vigilante (with a 3.07 rear) and wouldn't really want anymore converter for the street. That being said, I put a lot of miles on mine including long trips.
If you're just building for ***** to the wall performance, what the hell....

I'm looking for ballz to the wall performance but it will be a DD. I live on a small island. The longest trip I make only takes 20 minutes with little highway miles. I dont fear the gear nor do I fear a big converter in the name of performance. I just want the right setup for what I have.

Contact Ski_dwn_it on here. He made the switch from a 700R4 to a TH-350 so he should be able to give you some good advice and his car is plenty fast.

Your car is plenty fast especially for a car that can be driven on the street!!! You are going to like my 84. Lightweight and it should have one major top end charge.

I found one here for around $1300. Comes with a spool and some 4.5x gears. It was in a vette that ran 9's so I'm sure itll hold. When the owner gets back from vacation I should be able to seal the deal I hope.
