I plan to fit a used set of 22lb pink tops(8000 ml) to my 89 and have a couple of questions.I have checked the Ohm on each and they read 13 on all 8 is this ok?? or do they need to be checked when fitted??
also Do I run with retaining clip fitted to top groove on these injectors or use without the clip??
I installed a set of new flow calibrated 22 lb pink top bosch earlier this summer. I had an irregular idle issue and brought the car in for a scan to try and isolate the issue. Mechanic did both stationary and driving scan. Comment from the mecahnic was that he believed the pink tops were providing too much fuel. Didn't say much beside that. Mines a stock 85.
Not sure if that tells you anything, but thought I'd mention in case it means something to the senior members (guys who can actually help you..).
Quiken: Each brand of injectors will have a different reistance reading for the coils and this is due to the design of the part itself. What is important is that all eight injectors have resistance readings that are very close to each other. It appears that you injectors are very close and this is good. If you suspect that you may have problems using non GM injectors, istall a APFR while you are changing out the injectors. A scan tool will will needed to properly adjust the fuel pressure for your car. Hope this is helpful and be thankful you are rid of the GM Multec injectors BTW, the Holley AFPR works well on my 89.
