Default MSD Optispark install question.

Specemin: 92 w/LT1, 35K original miles.

Well my Father in law bought himself a corvette and it lived most of its life in an airplane hangar so as you can imagine it is immaculate! He told me the optispark was going per the original owner. After much research, thanks to this site I ordered the new MSD unit and MSD plug wires. We spent most of yesterday taking apart the front end of the motor to get to the unit. It was amazing. Every single bolt and gasket came off with minimal effort. I was floored. SO here is the prob...

I see the MSD unit has the updated venting port. Now I know I am supposed to "T" this into the existing vacuum line on the right side of the intake manifold but it appears on my 92 it is already "T"d. The picture on the instructions from MSD show it is not T'd. Is this anything to be concerned about or should I just "T" it again off that line? Thanks

PS: From one import/turbo 4 cyl lover to a bunch of V8 nuts....these cars/engines are amazing and very fun to work on.

I just installed one also. I also have a 92. Here's what I did.

I also had a problem with the electrical connector It's different and only affected the 92. Had to buy a connector for a 93 and splice it in. Mine fired right up and runs great. Hope this helps.
