No Lock up
Hello!
My wife has bought a -87 and my feeling is that the automatic gearbox is doing a god job. But it seams to never lock up, neither in fourth or third gear. Instead the car sometimes lights the up shift message. I have no experience from corvettes or automatic gearboxes so obviously I’m thankful if to get any ideas. May be you can tell me where the lock up relay is placed and if there is any fuses involved. The TV-cable adjustment is all right.
I also wonder were the engines computer chip is placed. I want to check if there is an aftermarket chip installed.

You need to fix this. If you do not, it will hurt the trans. I know a trans guy
and I am sure of this. Check terminal a on the lock up connector. It is located on the drivers side of the trans. It should have 12 volts with the key in the rum position. Then hook up a scanner and watch to see that the ecm commands lock up. If both of these things check good, you must drop the pan to solve your problem.

Looks like I have to get under the car, to do some troubleshooting. The truth to say; I am more fond of sitting in the car then being under it.:o
