What do you know!!! Happy ending!!!

So here is the update for those of you holding your breath:

front catser left:
before: 5.1
after 6.3

front camber left:
before 0.4
after 0.0

front toe left:
before -0.03
after 0.01

front caster right:
before 6.4
after 6.3

front camber right:
before 0.0
after 0.1

front toe right:
before -0.02
after 0.02

rear camber left:
before -0.3
after -0.1

rear toe left:
before
0.01
after 0.06

rear camber right:
before 0.3
after -0.1

rear toe right:
before -0.06
after 0.07

Drove the car and was extemely happy with the overall improvement with a correct alignment. I would have liked about .5* difference between left and right front caster (6.5*R - 6.0*L for the street but I'll live)

If anyone needs a good balance/alignment shop in the 330 area code I highly recommend these guys. Contact me with pm for details. All new Hunter balance and alignment machines and I've learned them for C4's.

As an aside, the bill was $169 for mounting, indexing, road forceing and alignment. And except for for the fact that I had to go back three times they never charged me another buck. Good for their word and I will go back next time. After all ,I did learn them. <End of endorsement> (I got lucky)

You are persistant, I'll grant you that.

Glad to see the shop was responsive to your approach. But
keep in mind that they let it out the door with the earlier
"crabbing" configuration which should not have happened,
regardless of what vehicle we are talking about.

All's well that ends well, according to Bill.

I can imagine that the car is much more pleasant to drive. If
you decide to track it, experiment with the specs in the links.

Default Lesson

The lesson to be learned here is check your local corvette community for someone who knows there s##t for what they are doing. I wouldn't want to "learn them" their job at my expense. You did get VeRY lucky here. In the future if you find a job that you can't do find a corvette mechanic thats known to be trusted. Yea, you might have to drive an extra 30 minutes be in the long run it will be worth it. As for the alignment it is actually one of the easiest things to keep track of. A lot of companies sell inexpensive alignment equipment which will let to ckeck it easily. Remember you are probually only doing the vette alignment so once you get it down on how to check it it will be as easy as changing your oil. good luck G
