Starter question.
What starters will interchange on an L98 corvette? Is it a specific one or can I use one from nearly any 350? Any clearance issues? I have gear reduced Chevy Astro starter on my 406 in the Z-28. These have a staggered bolt pattern.

LT1 starter won't fit gen-1 blocks, but gen-1 ministarters (88-91 Corvette) will fit your block.
It'll hang down lower though, and will require rerouting your wires a bit. I can't say whether it'll burn on the exhaust or fit your terminals without modification.
For any of the other 350 ministarters, just go on ACDelco's website, or Rockauto and look at their catalog to see how differently the starter casings are clocked and where the connections are. You'll also want to make sure they use the same 153 tooth flywheel.
All the C4s have a straight across bolt pattern, but the blocks have 3 holes. I'm not sure about the LT1 block.
