The gears aren't too much, the headers aren't doing it. Your tranny is just not right. Aamco screwed up the job somewhere.

When is it slipping? What gear? All of the them? Just between shifts? You have a TV cable, all it needs to be is out of adjustment and NO GOOD!! Trans is baked after a short time.
What mods did they do? It would be interesting to take it apart and see whats in there.

I took car out on the freeway tonite only to find out that the trans is sliping!!! The car hooked up great! I'm afraid the 3.54 gears are to much for trans but it was just rebuilt. I was told the tranny would handle the gears.

Any sugestions? Is it possible the headers make the trans to hot? Would this make the trans slip or did i do something to the trans? I drove in town in drive at around 40 -45 mph rpm aprox 1800.

There... that should help.

Now... I am with CFI... I wonder if the custom chip isn't allowing the TC to lock up... or if AAMCO screwed the pooch on the rebuild. Either way, there is a transmission problem... the headers and rear gears didn't cause this. A crap rebuild did. And the transmission is under warrantee (considering you paid about $1000 more than necessary).

Your biggest mistake is taking your transmission to AAMCO! It should still be under warranty, so they get it back! Maybe, just maybe they will do the job correctly this time. I agree with CFI-EFI, you paid about double what most shops charge to rebuild an automatic transmission.

About a grand more than our top of the line rebuild. Thats with all the goodies including a "beast" sunshell and good converter. I would check into the TV cable adjustment before you even take it back to them. that way if its out, you know what caused it. Nothing better than arming yourself with knowledge!! Good luck
