Need help with a no-start problem.

Car was running fine. Stopped at store, came out car wouldn't start. Followed service manual trouble tree, found coil to be bad. Replaced coil. Car started and drove fine. Next day, car starts and runs fine. Stop at store, car would not restart. No spark, bad coil.
What is killing my coils? The first coil that died was my original (as far as I know it was), this second one was a hypertech coil and a little spendy. Would like to know what's happening. Gonna have it towed to the mechanic tomorrow, but would like to have a little knowledge of the problem before it goes. I don't have the time to work on it myself.

My last car's service manual kept pointing me to a bad ignition module, which I kept replacing. Turned out the coil was opening when hot, but after cooling down it'd work again. This would die while driving it though. Maybe yours is the module? If it's intermittent, it can lead you down the wrong path on the diagnostic flow chart.

Yes, the grocery store is evil.
Car will not start when cold after it quits.

RACE ON!!!
No recent work. I have not touched anything on the car in over a year.
