The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Come again??? Why hasn't the CA General Assembly made this mandatory to lower emissions??? Never see any mention of it at CARB??? Is Humboldt Gold still available (we can only get the finest that Baja has to offer down here)??? Have you been smoking any?
"the reason i wanted to clean the injectors and the trottle body is beacuse it has 104,000 miles on it.Do you suggest to leave it alone"
Assuming it's a '96, the OBD 2 system does a much better job at monitoring fuel delivery and if there was a problem, it would light up a code. To me, it's a judgement call, particularly if there are no performance issues. GM recommends ziltch (for the injectors) unless there is a code (and you might end up with one if you squirt the wrong stuff into the throttle body - WD40 - being one of them - don't ask me how I know! If you want to get an idea of what it's doing, hook up a scanner or perform an injector balance test (tester is available for about 80 Bucks at NAPA - you will also need a fuel pressure gage), but I seriously doubt it's going to show you anything other than it's working as designed.
Do a little research on the product before you dismiss it on the fact CA doesn't tell you about it. After all CA is the one banking on your emissions $$.
