While I have the intake torn apart, I'd like to replace the FPR as I suspect it's leaking (plus I don't want to tear off the plenum more then necessary).
What do I need? Do I just buy the diaphram? Do I buy the whole unit? Can I just go to napa and get whatever they have?
Oh, if it matters, I have an '85 L98 (Ironheads), and I do not want an AFPR- I'm just trying to restore stock power, not gain more (yet).
So, did you find the low pressure problem?? You can just get the diaphram, but I would get a new unit. Check around and see what you can find. Napa or GM might have just what you need. I replaced mine with a Holley AFPR, but others might have gone with a stock unit and have more advise.

Is the diaphram replaceable on the early cars? If so, cool and that should be all you need. NAPA should have good ones or you can go OEM if still available.

I updated that thread... Once I got a Fuel Pump that hit 38 PSI (where I should be upon priming), it almost instantly dropped to just about 10 (where it oddly holds)... some trouble shooting with my fsm leads me to the injectors which I found 3 of which were leaking bad, and 1 was questionable...
The vacuum lines around the FPR smells like gasoline, so I thought the diaphram may be leaking. Even if it isn't though, since I need to take the plenum and runners off to replace the injectors- I thought I'd change the FPR as well... My pressure drops so fast, I think that leaks as well.

I can get THIS from madvet or the parts stores, but I wasn't sure if that's all I need, or if I buy a full unit (like one in THIS kit will even have the diaphram....
