this is a few picture of my new 396 ci. with a super victor efi intake made by jeb. motor made 570 hp at 6400rpms and 520 lbs tq at 5000 rpms on pump gas 810 hp on a 2 stage 250 shot. i am still working out some bugs but runs pretty good. so far with only 2 runs ive run 11.2 at 122 with a very light launch 2500rpms(1.9 60 ft) on motor only. no spray passes yet. it can do a 1.5 60ft if i launch at 4500rpms.
Sorry to hijack but is there any benefit of completely removing the PCV system and just putting breathers on the valve covers?
Don't do it. It's not worth it. I did and paid the price by having to remove the front accessories off the motor to replace my front crank seal. PCV is good and having 2 breathers doesn't give you an ounce of squat in more power just an ounce or two of oil on your driveway every day. This wasn't a budget rebuild and quality parts were used on a brand new motor. Plus without PCV you'll be changing your oil more often.

what he said, i resuse my previous PCV valve in my new 383, than i realized where my oil gone, so when i contacted pete k and engine builder they both said put new PCV valves ans make sure u have baffles inside VC's so, the result less consumption of oil. Iam good to go, already logged happy 5k miles on it.
Mos90: very very impressive numbers and engine as well. I assume its at crank #'s.
Wow! That's wicked fast! And the scary part is knowing that you haven't even dialed into it's full potential yet.To top it off, it's a great-looking powerplant, neatly done!
i had a pvc on and it did nothing compared to the 2 breathers and i was getting oil build up in the intake so i took it off. a pvc system will do nothing at wot.
but.. im thinking the car will run a 10.8 at 126 once dialed in. and a 9.80 at 138 on 250 shot.
