Default Replacing the shock tommarow

I got my new shocks ( KYB ) yesterday and just had a quick question for you guys about the install . Do I need a torque wrench for any part of the install of them from ( front or rears ) ?

Thanks in advance ,

It is a good idea, but not required. I did not use one.

Not necessary on shocks. Get good and tight. The special socket to hold the stem on the top of the front shocks makes the job go quicker.

Just installed new KYB's on my '88 this past weekend...you don't really have to use a torque wrench. I only used mine when I put my rims back on. The previous owner had over torqued the lug nuts so badly, I had a terrible time get them off....LOL Anyway, I'm very happy with the new shocks....

Thanks allot guys I'm glad to hear that I really don't need one . I think I'm going to invest in one @ some point . I did get the white and red ones . I'm sure I'll feel a big difference when I switch them out do to the one on my 91 being original ( 70000 miles ) .

I put the same ones on in July, I can feel the difference! Had all 4 on in 3 hours by myself.

The special socket I use is called the "adjustable wrench".

Well Its all done . It was fairly easy with the hardest part moving the jack stand and jack to each corner . the bottom net on the rears was tuff to get off also . I just took it out and did notice a difference . I do notice a difference in the way the car looks though . It seems to sit up about 2 " higher then it did before . it looks like I'll have to start saving my pennies for new Rims and ties now .

Thanks for the help with this project ,
