on my '91 L98 the airbag indicator lamp is always on. I used the tool for 1990 Vettes to read the codes ... I have 13 and 26.
There is no 13 listed in the instructions, 26 is front sensor RH fault.
I messured the resistance between sensor and frame ... 0.2 Ohm. Is that OK? If it is ... what is the problem?
Yes I'm sure it was a 13 ... 12, 13, 26, 12 indicated by flashing INFL REST light. The tool is from Mid America for 1990 Vettes.

Code 26 is an open or high resistance in the steering column loop. Most likely is the clock spring. The best way to diag is FIRST diconnect the bat and let it sit a few min. Diconnect the harness at the base of the column. Should be a small yellow two wire conn. Then remove the airbag module and carefully unplug it. You'll want to check the resistance across the two pins of the connector you just unplugged from the air bag. When you unplugged the conn at the lower end of the steering column, a "shorting bar" snaps into place completing the loop from one wire to the other, this helps in diagnosing an open circuit. If you check the resistance of the "loop" and its open, its the clock spring. Hope this helps!
