Torque Converter Recommendations
I have a heavy right foot. The current converter has a stall of about 2600/2800 rpm. Traction has always been *#??**&*. As such I have bneen considering pulling it out and replacing it with one that flashes at about 2000rpm. I considered a 12" Hughes but those people I talk to claim it won't hold up with 600rwhp for very long. Any opinions on this?

you may want to look here. http://www.converter.cc/ I know they do some special designs. The one I have was designed for a C-5 and they used a lower STR (stall torque ratio) which lowers the starting torque. At any rate they have a web page which explains alot about torque converters.
