You may want to call Summit & inquire about a set of heads for your application. I would ask who makes their brand of heads(200 cc intake ports, 64cc combustion chambers, 2.02"/1.60" valves. $995.95). For the money Trick Flow does make a good set of heads.

i own a set of tfs heads. but for $750 those heads are a deal, anyway u slice it.
What do any of you think of the Trick Flow top end engine kits? Looks like fairly reasonable prices at Summit (around $1600.00). Was thinking about the TFS-K314-420-395 for a 355 or possibly a 383. How does that cam look for those applications.

i agree with Vader and tequila boy.
Just got back from a long weekend.
I am trying to formulate a budget. I don't mind dropping $2K on heads, however, is it really NECESSARY?
I don't want to cut myself short, and I am not trying to do it CHEAP I am trying to do it right, cheaply.

Good luck!
I am not "throwing" heads at it. It's one of those things that "while I'm at it" disease.
I really don't want to do the cam, with the motor in the car it's just a bitch. I WILL do a cam at some point in the future, just not today.

SO here is what I'm hearing.....
Nothing wrong with the Edlebrock for the money. AFR are pretty well respected and for the set they are about $300 more. I read somewhere here on the forum with some fit and finish problems with Trickflow. One guy about a year ago had some real problems with them.
There are some other heads to consider as listed in the thread.
I just got back and have to go through this.
Thanks for all the input.
One last item to consider. I am not ruling out a supercharger, next year, would that effect your decision?
I would probably look at Dart Pro 1 180cc heads as it stands, as a 350 MR with no big cam and no SC.
If I were to change cams, to LT4 hotcam or CC305, for example, I'd personally go with a 195cc Trickflow or Dart Pro 1 200cc. Those would not be restrictive, should I later go to 383+ with a new motor.
