HE HE...I still cant beleive it! :D :D :D

Oh yeah.....that frisbee on the water pump pully.......makes a better counter weight for our fork lift! ITs gone!

I've always believed that running 180-220 deg coolant through the TB has to put heat where don't want it, i.e. into the intake system.

My TB & plenum run cooler after I did the TB coolant bypass too.

Drain your coolant. Remove the heater hose off of the passenger side of the throttle body. Then remove the u shaped hose that runs from the drivers side of the throttle body to just below on the intake. Insert a hose coupler into the end of the passenger side hose and clamp it and run about a foot of new heater hose from the other end of the coupler to the coolant fitting on the intake. Clamp it all down and your done. You can cap off the throttle body fittings if you want. :smash:

What I'd like to know is, what was its factory-intended purpose?

I did NOT drain my fluid. My car sat for about 1 1/2 hrs and then did it. I took the U shaped connection off the base of the TB. Then Took the passenger side off the TB. Then connected the two together using a smaller diameter pipe and original clamps. NO FLUID SPILLED AT ALL. I was surprised by this. no a drop...i thought maybe a little bit at least...but none! I need to go to the store and get some 3/8" caps for the TB to keep it clean...but thats it! 10min job for sure!
