lt-1 performance engine rebuild

lt-1 performance engine rebuild
I am in the process of redoing my whole car from the engine to the braking and suspension systems...
My question is in the engine building process, i am hoping to get about 450-500 hp out of my engine(1992 Lt-1) and i dont know where to start. I am planning this build to start about 6 months fro now so i want to start getting my ideas going now..
What i want to know is what cam and heads to choose and where to buy a good stroker kit?
I was thinking of going with the 195cc Afr heads and Comp cam, but i dont know which size cam to get...
And, if anyone knows a good place to buy 383 short blocks from a reputable builder, either on the internet or if someone could send some numbers my way, that would be great.....
Well i hope you guys can help me with this build, i am hoping to have it done for next years Corvettes at Carlisle, so i have lots of work to do...
Thanks for all the help in advance, and if anyone has any sound clips of a borla or magnaflow exhaust on an lt-1, i would love to hear them, i cant find any sound clips anywheres for these, and i dont want to spend money on something i havent heard.....

Uhhh sorry, emissions yes, budget not really, i mean i dont have 20 grand for just the motor, but i dont want to hit the gas and have pistons fly throuh the hood either.
and, i will be upgrading to a dana 44 and longtubes/highflow cats will be the first things bought...
