I picked up a boost gauge for my FI L98 and I'm trying to decide how to mount it. I didn't get a housing so I'm thinking of putting it under the dash somewhere, maybe even velcro it to the carpet- that way I dont have to drill or cut. Any other ideas?
Also- I got a kit that recommends screwing a tap type fitting into the manifold, they said there are usually blanks with plugs available. I've always heard that I should "t" in to a hose. Any advice is welcome!
Pillar pod for the mounting. I tap mine into the back of the manifold. I am not sure what kind of manifold you are running, but if stock L98 long tubes, then just "T" in to one of the rear vacuum ports (like the one to the fuel psi regulator.

I found a vacuum tube running parallel to the valve cover on the drivers side. It starts under the plenum up by the windshield and ends in a little plastic disk like module up by and under the throttle body. I'm getting low readings though and I'm wondering if this is a bad tube to try and use.
There is a soft plug behind the battery that comes up on the driverside kick panel. You could run the plastic hose through it ... before I had my pillar pod, I just used double stick tape and "wedged" it between the dash and the a-pillar...It worked fine...
I got fancy this time around and went electronic with recall on my boost soo now it is a matter of running wired and a 2-bar MAP that i have nestled in the intake valley...
