Slide beam forward and to the right as far as possible. Pry the trans over towards the left if necessary, and pull the front of the beam down beside the transmission.

i just did this the other day.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1491422

support the tranny with a floor jack, break the C beam loose from the rear end, then slide it as far forward as you can, it will have to go pretty far forward. then lower the jack. the tranny will tilt down far enough to slide the C beam off the back of the tranny. you will have to spin the yoke on the rear diff to clear the C beam. zf doc also has some helpfull info. there is a link on the thread that i started.

best of luck,

Shawn

with SSLT1KID, but also remember if you have a L98 to remove the distributor prior to lowering the back of the transmission so that it does not hit the firewall and break as you lower the back of the transmission. LT1/LT4 this should not be an issue.

I pull the distributor cap, unless you have a small cap conversion :-D

Then pull the driveshaft

The slide the beam all the way forward

Then slowly jack down the tranny, making sure you aren't resting on the firewall or crushing anything.

Then you can pull it off.

To reinstall do the opposite. Pretty easy actually.
