Default 87 C4 Power antenna

Hi all, I have an 87 Ragtop and from what I understand, the antenna is discontinued from GM. Anyone know if the replacement mast/plastic gear strip is available anywhere?

You can get the mast from Ecklers or Mid America. I have seen several new complete antennas on ebay lately.

I saw the same ones, but they all say that they are not the OEM, but an OEM opgrade, modifications required. I would like to keep it original. I even went as far as saving the original engine block(not installed of course), but I think it goes a long way as far as resale goes.

I got a plastic ribbon from ecklers for $20 about 2 years ago and think I still see it in the catalog. Still working fine. Take taillight out to get to the antenna hardware.. much easier. good luck.

One thing that they don't tell you is that you have to drill out a few rivets to get the damn casing open. Oh... and there are not rivets included in the mast replacement. Not a big deal, but when you aren't expecting it, it is annoying.

I replaced the mast on my 87 with an OEM, bad mistake, I should have upgraded to the model you can simply replace the antenae and ribbon from the top...I know ecklers has them. You only wanna do this job once.

check on ebay. They may not say Corvette but just find a GM antenna and make sure the size and connectors are the same and you should be fine.
