That's weird. I run 6x9's in mine and needed nothing...even use the stock Bose speaker covers
The bolt pattern is not right. You can only get two of the bolts. Then your also left with gaps and the box not sealed, and if not tight enough will vibrate and make noise.
I replaced mine as well. Installers.com had a dash board kit for my 90 coupe with excellent instructions. Also had an adapter for system. Cut out the back amps because they only worked when the planets were lined up correctly. Took about four hours with the dash mods but looks factory installed not a hack job. Good luck
get amps for all speakers the will always sound amaizing i currently have 3 amps, 1 for 2 subs and the other two for the door speakers. sure costs big bucks though.
(unless you go to wal-mart for the amps, i only spent 200 for all the wiring and amps there) everything else from crutchfield.
I don't get it. the bolt holes are not even in the right spots.. You have pictures??

I'd appreciate that. Unless there was different bose panels, the black ones in my picture although they have an oval cutout, will not fit a 6x9..
