Default pulling valve covers

im pulling the valve covers off my '91 for some TLC, can anyone give me some advice on how to remove the air pump bolt that interferes with the driver's side valve cover, the air pump pulley is in the way of the bolt head!!

regards

i just pulled the s-belt and the air pump among other things to get to my water pump last weekend, it's not that hard.

Just take a 1/2 breaker bar to the pulley tensioner to release the belt and then unbolt the air pump. you should see valve cover after that

On mine, only the air pump mounting bolt was the problem. The first few times, I backed-off the mounting bolt which required removing the pulley. Then I got smart and took a grinder to the end of the protruding bolt.

I gutted my air pump when I had to replace my valve cover gaskets... now is a good time.
