Thanks a bunch

Welcome, many, many, rude people on here Alex but some really good ones too. I've decided to keep mine stock in appearence. There are some stock appearing mufflers availible with both tips active for around $160 a pair. Try www.summitracing.com for several options. My opinion on the tips only is they are too loud for highway use.

Welcome, many, many, rude people on here Alex you know you should leave these kind of comments to yourself, that is unless you want to start a war on here... we are trying to NOT do this.

Don't want a war, but it just as easy to give quick direction as to act like an ***. Even the newest members are picking up the habit. Two other forums I am on are just not this way. If people don't want to help why do they bother to answer.
I would try the pipes with no mufflers first. If I remember correctly it should cost no more than about $60. If you don't like the sound you can always have the mufflers added in.
sorry I wasn't trying to be rude at all just more efficient. I always that the rule of thumb was to search first then ask if you can't find the answer.

In this case search would be especially beneficial. Not only are there a zillion threads on the subject, but there are so many possible combinations for mufflers, various exhaust configurations and the many subjective opinions on the results. So only by reading many, many posts on this matter can someone begin to get an overview of what may be right for them. Hell, I've had five or six different exhaust set-ups on my car since the stock one (and that's not counting three different sets of headers) and I'm just now getting close to a sound that I really like.
I have always been a Flowmaster fan with my higher horsepower cars but I picked up Magnaflows for my Vette. Lots of guys swear by the Corsa's and I have a good friend that bought Borla's and he is very pleased. The ultimate decision is going to boil down to personal preference. Would you be oposed to doing some customizing of the exhaust or are you looking for a true cat back system?
