Default 85 heater core replacement

Well since I'll be kicking out my windshield soon after hitting a pheasant I thought I would check on the heater core replacement. Where are some of you buying the core from? Any idea on price? Will it be easier with the windshield removed to get in there since I believe I have to pull the dash to get in there anyway? Any help you can offer is appreciated! Thanks!!!

I did a search and found all the info I ever wanted to know. Already bought my heater core from The Last Detail and am diving in head first to get the job done. The search function on this board works very well!

If you slide the dash out, combined with the window being out, it should go really smooth.

This is good Preventative Maintenance! Doing it with the dash out alone is a real nightmare in itself!

Make sure you have some long 1/4" socket extension and a 1/4 socket swivel.
