My 92 corvette w/ a clifford alarm installed. The alarm appears to stop working at random and as a result I cannot start my car.
It will not even attempt to turn over. This happened once before and after a while I was able to get the alarm to go off..... when I did I simply used the key fob to turn it off again and everything worked fine.
Now even when I get teh alarm to go off I cannot start my car and I cannot use any of my keyless entry features.
This is probably the wrong place to post this.... but It's getting frustrating.
See if you can trace were the alarm was originally installed. Cliffords come with a lifetime warranty and I had a similar problem on one of mine. I believe they had to replace the inginition relay module. That would be my first guess if this is in your system.
I had similar problems with a python installed ijn my mustang. The problems i had ranged from faulty relays to shoddy wiring connections. My solution was to trace all of the alarm wiring, chop it out, and solder the factory wiring back together. Good luck.
